HOW IT'S MADE!
Blend it![]() Our steps don't leave any footprints. Cold-processed soap is the greatest way to allow the natural ingredients to join together. Our technique requires no extra heating or chemical aids for saponification but relies solely on the heat of the natural reaction between oils (no lard!) and lye. Our process preserves the integrity of the ingredients. We keep the naturally occurring glycerin, a major moisturizer, while commercial soap companies sell it as a profitable by-product. Finally, we add extra coconut oil, leaving a super moisturizing bar of soap!
Pour it![]() We mix pure 100% Virgin Coconut Oil and 100% pure essential oils using the cold-process method. This maintains the integrity of the ingredients. Saponification happens and produces super-moisturizing glycerin as a byproduct. Big soap companies remove it and sell it for extra profit. Not us. (It's called glycerin, not glycerout.)
Swirl it![]() After we've mixed together the goodies, we pour the liquid ingredients together into a mold. We then mix in mineral pigments, herbs, ground cacoa and more, create our signature swirlies, and let it saponify.
Once the ingredients have had time to do their thing, our soapmakers, step in to bring it all together. A dash of all-natural pigment or organic herbs, and some steady stirring, and voilá! We're almost there! With the concentration of a soapmaker, we pour and swirl, making sure each batch of soap is perfect and oh-so-sexy. Cut it![]() After chillin’ for no less than 24 hours the finished product has one last process. With the aid of a custom cutter, we cut the slabs into bars and bricks, assuring every single soap looks glamorous enough to be the next hottest shower-singin’ partner.
Finally, after a few days, it hardens into a large block, which begets Punta Coco Bricks, which begets Punta Coco Bars ... all of which you should totally be getting. See "The Making of Rosemary-Eucalyptus Shampoo Bar" on Facebook | ||||
